Zurückblickend auf die große Zeit der Rockmusik findet man die Ursprünge der gesamten, heutigen gitarrenbasierten Musik härterer Gangart in den 70er Jahren. Die Grundlagen der Musik, die heute als Classic Rock bezeichnet wird, wurden von den Pionieren des damaligen Hard Rocks gelegt.

Deep Purple ist sicherlich eine der herausragenden Formationen dieser Zeit. Gelten sie gemeinhin als Erfinder des Hard Rock, sind ihre Songs bis heute zeitlos. Angefangen von eher poppigen Klängen der späten 60er bis zu beinharten Riffs, dominiert von den überragenden Solisten Ritchie Blackmore an der Gitarre, Jon Lord an der Orgel und Ian Paice an den Drums. In unterschiedlichen Besetzungen von Deep Purple entstanden über mehrere Entwicklungsphasen hinweg immer ganz große Werke, die bis heute eine große Anhängerschaft fesseln.

Diesem Erbe fühlt sich PURPLE STORM seit Bandgründung 2021 verpflichtet.

Zu dieser einzigartigen Tribute-Band gehören fünf großartige und erfahrene Musiker, deren musikalische Wurzeln im jahrzehntelangen Wirken ihrer Vorbilder liegen.

Die großen und bekanntesten Songs von Deep Purple werden absolut authentisch dargebracht, wobei hier, wie im Original die zerrende Orgel und der Strat-Gitarrensound dominieren. Die Rolle von Ritchie Blackmore übernimmt hier Norbert Schymik, der mit seinem Gitarrenspiel absolut zu überzeugen weiß. Selbst komplizierteste Parts werden von ihm spielerisch gemeistert und machen nicht zuletzt den Charakter der Songs aus.

Das geschieht im Zusammenspiel mit Burk Urdenbach, der wie im Original Jon Lord, mit verzerrten bis hin zu gotisch sakralen Hammond-Sounds authentisch im Solo- und Rhythmus-Spiel zu überzeugen weiß.

Im Fokus steht auch die Stimme des Frontmann Uli Rohmann, der die kompliziertesten Parts beider großer Lead-Sänger, Ian Gillan und David Coverdale gleichermaßen zu bedienen weiß.

Die Rhythmus Truppe wird von Thorsten Busan an den Drums und Michael Hakenberg am Bass uhrwerkmäßig bedient. Gemeinsam bilden beide, wie ihre Vorbilder Ian Paice und Roger Glover, ein unerschütterliches Fundament, das die Band zusammenhält und für ein exaktes und unglaublich präzises Zusammenspiel sorgt.

Looking back at the heyday of rock music, the origins of all of today’s guitar-based hard rock music can be found in the 1970s. The foundations of the music that is now known as classic rock were laid by the pioneers of hard rock at the time.

Deep Purple is certainly one of the outstanding formations of this period. Generally regarded as the inventors of hard rock, their songs are still timeless today. From the rather poppy sounds of the late 60s to hard-hitting riffs, dominated by the outstanding soloists Ritchie Blackmore on guitar, Jon Lord on organ and Ian Paice on drums. Deep Purple’s various line-ups have always produced great works over several phases of development, which continue to captivate a large following to this day.

PURPLE STORM has been committed to this legacy since the band was founded in 2021.

This unique tribute band is made up of five great and experienced musicians whose musical roots lie in the decades-long work of their role models.

The great and best-known songs by Deep Purple are performed with absolute authenticity, with the ripping organ and Strat guitar sound dominating, as in the original. Norbert Schymik takes on the role of Ritchie Blackmore, whose guitar playing is absolutely convincing. He masters even the most complicated parts with ease and, not least, gives the songs their character.

This happens in collaboration with Burk Urdenbach, who, like Jon Lord in the original, knows how to convince with distorted and even gothic sacred Hammond sounds in authentic solo and rhythm playing.

The focus is also on the voice of frontman Uli Rohmann, who knows how to handle the most complicated parts of both great lead singers, Ian Gillan and David Coverdale.

The rhythm section is served by Thorsten Busan on drums and Michael Hakenberg on bass. Together, like their idols Ian Paice and Roger Glover, they form an unshakeable foundation that holds the band together and ensures exact and incredibly precise interplay.
